I'd like to congratulate the Green Team on winning Green and Gold field hockey and soccer. Last thursday we began our field hockey game. Within 5 minutes we were up 1-0 with a goal from Ana(9th). We played hard all game long and even our daring boys played with a passion I've only seen from girls playing on the team for 3 years. In the second half of the game another goal was scored by myself. Our defensive line and goalie (Hannah, 9th) worked hard the entire game and shut out the Gold team. Congratulations on a 2-0 win and a fantastic game! The following Monday we had our Green and Gold soccer game. The first half we were figuring out which positions we were most comfortable in. It did not take us long at all though. We finished our first half with 1-0 lead from Connor's(8th) excellent goal. The second half begun and the Green team was ready to fight. We were in the lead and we wanted it to stay that way. Though the Gold team made some attempts on goal, our goalie, Jack (8th), was just to good for them. We regained possession of the ball and it was put in the goal by Quentin(8th). That ended our soccer game with another 2-0 win. Fantastic job Green Team! We got 20 points from our 2 wins. Congrats and let's keep this going Green Team!

Monthly Math Challenge, Tuesday Trivia Update, and Green and Gold Games
Hi Everyone!
I’d like to congratulate the Green Team on a good first monthly math challenge. We earned 17 points for this first challenge. We had fantastic participation with the 3rd and 4th grades. We only had 1 correct answer from the 9th grade, 2 correct answers from the 7th, and 1 correct answer from the 6th grade. There were no correct answers from the 8th and 5th grades. Congratulations to the 3rd and 4th grades, next month let’s try for every Green Team member to get the math challenge correct! I know its a tall order but I have faith that you guys can accomplish that.9th, 7th, and 6th grades, good start but we want as many people as possible to try the challenge. 5th and 8th grades, let’s try some participation next month! Feel free to reach out if you need help with the challenge. I know its our first month and it might have been confusing but I know that we’re on track now! There are 80 green team members, if everyone participates in the math challenge we could get 80 points for our team! On another note, remember the Tuesday Trivia, its a great opportunity to earn points! When you get to school on Tuesday go look at the trivia and see if you can get the answer. If you get it, give it to me and we’ll hand it in! You can also meet me at recess by the trivia if you’d like to try for the answer. Finally we have our Green and Gold field hockey (Upper School only) and soccer games coming up. Get ready, it’s a fierce competition but I know we can win it. We’re off to a great start Green Team, but we can do better! Thank you!

Math Bowl Results
Greetings Green Team! I am sad to report that last friday's Math Bowl resulted in a loss for the Green Team. We made a valiant effort but we just couldn't manage that win. Remember on the qualifying tests every correct answer counts towards our score and at the Math Bowl they announce which team had the most correct answers. The team with the most correct answers get 10 points added to their score. Sadly the Gold Team also had the most correct answers. I'd like to apologize for not being there to compete in the Math Bowl and cheer on my team and I will surely be there for our next competition. Remember our October Monthly Math Challenge is going on and answers can be submitted until Wednesday October 12. Every correct answer is a point and we want to win the year right? Support your team, answer the math challenge. It is on the Tuxedo Park School website under students, once your there just click on Monthly Math Challenge. You can also see me anytime until the 12th in school, I always have the math challenge on me. Thank You!

Tuesday Trivia and Monthly Math Challenges
Hi everyone,
Each Tuesday, trivia questions are posted for each grade 3rd through 9th. The first two weeks of trivia have been okay but I'd love to make them excellent. On Tuesday mornings trivia is posted on the wall across from the main staircase where the scores are posted. When you arrive at school take a look at the question and try to find the answer, you can give me your answer anytime throughout the day. Remember though, only one answer is accepted per grade. If you'd like help with finding your answer, you can find me at the trivia bulletin board during recess.
Next month the Monthly Math Challenges will begin. Last year they were hard to find and rarely answered. This year you will be able to find the math challenges here on the web. As many math challenge answers as possible will be accepted from each grade so make sure to try the challenge each month and feel free to reach out to anyone for help. Thank You!
