I'd like to congratulate the Green Team on winning Green and Gold field hockey and soccer. Last thursday we began our field hockey game. Within 5 minutes we were up 1-0 with a goal from Ana(9th). We played hard all game long and even our daring boys played with a passion I've only seen from girls playing on the team for 3 years. In the second half of the game another goal was scored by myself. Our defensive line and goalie (Hannah, 9th) worked hard the entire game and shut out the Gold team. Congratulations on a 2-0 win and a fantastic game! The following Monday we had our Green and Gold soccer game. The first half we were figuring out which positions we were most comfortable in. It did not take us long at all though. We finished our first half with 1-0 lead from Connor's(8th) excellent goal. The second half begun and the Green team was ready to fight. We were in the lead and we wanted it to stay that way. Though the Gold team made some attempts on goal, our goalie, Jack (8th), was just to good for them. We regained possession of the ball and it was put in the goal by Quentin(8th). That ended our soccer game with another 2-0 win. Fantastic job Green Team! We got 20 points from our 2 wins. Congrats and let's keep this going Green Team!

November Monthly Math Challenge and Poetry Contest
Greetings Green Team!
The November Monthly Math Challenge is here! We'd like for all Green Team members to try it. When you think you have it completed hand it in to me or your math teacher. It due by Wednesday November 16 so make sure to get on it! You can find the monthly math challenge at http://www.tuxedoparkschool.org/contentPage.aspx?pageId=80924§ionId=745 or at the bottom of this post. On another note, we are having our poetry contest. The themes are thanks and grandparents. The first, second, and third place poets will read on Grandparent's Day at our assembly and it's be really great if all those poets were Green Team members. Of course points are awarded to the first, second, and third place. For Upper School we are having our Green and Gold field hockey game tomorrow, November 9, and our Green and Gold soccer game November 14. Remember every person who doesn't participate loses a point for our team so make sure you get out there and play to win! Be there to support in the game your not playing and give it your all in the game you are playing!
Thanks,
Lucy Griffin GO GREEN!!!!
